Yes. The first step of the process is to have a phone consultation with your business formation lawyer. During the call you’ll discuss the details of your business idea and your lawyer will help you determine the right type of business entity for your situation. Working directly with a local small business lawyer, as opposed to just filling out an online form, is one of the main differences between Launch by LegalShield and other “start a business” legal services.
How much does it cost to start a business in my state?

Every new business must pay a filing fee. Each state sets their own fee and LegalShield makes no money on the filing fees. To estimate your state filing fees, use our state filing calculator.

How long does the process take? When can I get my Tax ID?

Your membership application is typically processed the same day you submit your information and payment, but can take up to 48 hours (excluding holidays and weekends). During the checkout process, you’ll be asked to select a time for your small business lawyer to contact you. Once your membership application is processed, your lawyer will reach you to you in as little as four hours or at the time you’ve selected. After your consultation, the rest of the  process takes between 3 and 5 business days on average.
